Jesus Gonzalez Torres has been working in the design industry since 2005. From 2005-2009 they were the Associate Director of the Industrial Design undergraduate programme and a full time lecturer at ITESM. From 2009-2012 they were an UX/UI & Graphic Designer at Sraml, and in 2012 they were a Design Management intern at Designcentrum. From 2013-2016 they were a Freelance UX/UI Designer at Toptal, and from 2017-2018 they were a Freelance UX/UI Designer at Graphiq - Your graphic design partner. In 2017 they were also an Independent UX/UI Design Consultant at joymo.tv and an Interaction Designer at EngageLab at the Faculty of Educational Sciences (University of Oslo). In 2018 they were an UX/UI Designer at Autopay. Finally, in 2021 they began their current role as Senior Design Consultant at Shortcut.
Jesus Gonzalez Torres has an extensive education history. In 2022-2023, they completed an MIT xPro - Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2011-2012, they earned a Master's Degree in Design Management and New Product Development from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). In 2006-2007, they obtained a Master's Degree in Transportation Design from Istituto Europeo di Design. Finally, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design from Istituto Europeo di Design between 2002-2005. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including How to Design for Augmented and Virtual Reality and How to prepare for the future of Mobile UX from The Interaction Design Foundation in 2022, a Membership Certificate from The Interaction Design Foundation in 2019, HTML5 & CSS3 from Udemy, Mobile App Design In Sketch 3 from Udemy, and iOS 9 Developer Course from Udemy.
