Thomas Beale

Thomas Beale is a seasoned professional in health informatics with substantial experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as VP of Informatics at Graphite Health since March 2023, Beale has been a Board Member and Specifications Lead at the openEHR Foundation since March 2000, overseeing the openEHR Specifications Program. Previous roles include Technical Consultant at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where efforts focused on e-health standards and interoperability, and Principal at ARS SEMANTICA LTD, specializing in e-health consulting. Beale has also held positions as Architect at Intermountain Healthcare, Chief Technology Officer at Ocean Informatics, and has contributed as a member of the Technical Committee at IHTSDO/SNOMED International. An academic background includes a BE and BSc from The University of Queensland, along with research experience at University College London.
