Serge Grondin has worked in various software development roles throughout their career. Serge began their career at Matrox Electronics Systems as a Lead Programmer, where they designed software for real-time video hardware and participated in the core real-time software design. Serge then joined AmberFin as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and built a software architecture for real-time video recording and repurposing. Serge also designed audio and video software record engine for the iCR product used in the broadcast industry. After that, Serge worked at the Bourse de Montreal - Montreal Exchange as an Analyst Programmer before joining Grass Valley, a Belden Brand. At Grass Valley, they served as the Kaleido Software Team Leader, managing a team of software developers responsible for software running on Kaleido monitor walls. Serge was also a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in video streaming software and video over IP solutions. Serge then joined Audiokinetic as a Senior Software Developer before rejoining Grass Valley as a Principal Software Developer.

Serge Grondin earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal between 1992 and 1996.
