Vincent Maglione, GSEC

Vincent Maglione, GSEC, has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Vincent is currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at Grasshopper Bank since December 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as an Information Security Manager at the same company from August 2019 to December 2021.

Before joining Grasshopper Bank, Vincent worked as a Lead Security Operations Engineer at Grasshopper Bank from June 2018 to August 2019. In this role, they were responsible for various security tasks such as providing security gap analysis of cloud infrastructure, deploying SIEM solutions, configuring log sources, conducting firewall management, network vulnerability scanning, and configuring and reviewing code analysis. Vincent also negotiated security vendor contracts, created automation tools using Python, and deployed and configured various security solutions like Active Directory, WAF, SaaS access management, and Email security gateway.

Earlier in their career, Vincent held positions at TD as an Information Security Analyst II from October 2016 to February 2018. Vincent also worked at SageNet as an Information Security Engineer/Consultant from April 2016 to September 2016.

Vincent's experience also includes working at NASDAQ OMX as an Information Security Administrator from January 2014 to April 2016. Here, they monitored information systems and played an instrumental role in developing the company's "Intrusion Detection Standard." Vincent also handled hotline calls and participated in international meetings and webinars with Sweden. Additionally, they received training from SANS during their tenure at NASDAQ OMX.

Vincent started their career as an intern at NASDAQ OMX in June 2013, where they performed similar information security duties, including monitoring systems and contributing to the "Intrusion Detection Standard."

Before entering the field of information security, Vincent gained experience in customer service and sales roles. Vincent worked as a Banquet Server/Bartender at Chartwells (Higher Education Division) from November 2006 to June 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Mechanic at Touch of Gold Gutters from November 2006 to May 2013.

In 2011, Vincent worked as an intern at KBW for a brief period from June 2011 to August 2011.

Vincent Maglione, GSEC, holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, General from Kean University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pre-Business at Ocean County College from 2007 to 2009. In addition to their academic background, Vincent has obtained several certifications, including the GSEC from GIAC in September 2014, and the AWS Technical Professional Accreditation and AWS Business Professional Accreditation from Amazon Web Services in June 2016 and May 2016 respectively.
