Toni Ann Abbruzese

Toni Ann Abbruzese has a substantial work experience in the field of underwriting and risk management. Toni Ann started their career at Aetna, a CVS Health Company, in 1993 and worked as a Senior Underwriter for the company until 2002. Toni Ann then joined Empire BlueCross BlueShield HealthPlus as an Underwriting Manager from 2003 to 2005.

In 2005, Toni Ann Abbruzese joined Cigna, where they held various positions including Director of Underwriting for the Tri-State and Philadelphia markets, and later for the National Accounts' Northeast/Central East region. In these roles, they successfully developed and executed market strategies, managed financial portfolios, and achieved growth and earnings goals.

At Cigna, they also served as the Underwriting Risk Management Director from 2015 to 2018, where they led research and development strategies to incorporate analytics into underwriting and pricing processes, resulting in cost prediction improvement and risk assessment. In 2019, they were promoted to Senior Director of Underwriting Risk Management, where they expanded their role to create a more robust financial performance guarantee strategy and enhanced the overall approval and governance process.

Toni Ann Abbruzese's most recent work experience is at Gravie, where they joined in 2022 as the Director of Underwriting and later was promoted to VP of Underwriting Strategy in 2023.

Toni Ann Abbruzese has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Fordham University. In addition, they obtained a Change Manager Certification from Prosci in 2019 and completed Presentation skills training from Speakeasy in 2018.
