David Barley

David Barley has extensive work experience in various roles related to sustainable investment and environmental technology. David is currently an Investment Director at Gravis, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they served as an Investment Director and member of the investment committee at Mirova from 2014 to 2023. In this role, they were responsible for managing the Sustainable Ocean Fund, a $130 million fund that focused on investing in environmental technology, circular economy, and sustainable seafood businesses globally. David also served as a Non-Executive Director at Biomega, Plastics For Change, and SafetyNet Technologies, and as a Board Observer at The Kampachi Company. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Advisor at The Prince's International Sustainability Unit, where they focused on resolving environmental challenges. David began their career as an Associate at Beetle Capital Partners, providing corporate finance and fund placement services in sustainable investment sectors. David also worked as a Strategy Consultant at Accenture.

David Barley obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Geography from UCL, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. David later pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Sustainable Energy Futures at Imperial College London, completing their studies from 2008 to 2009.
