Qiuyan Xu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data science, AI, and venture investing. Currently serving as Managing Director at Gravitate AI since January 2020, Qiuyan Xu focuses on driving business innovation through data and machine intelligence. As an AI and Data Advisor for Barn Owl Technologies and a venture partner at Beacon Venture Partners, Qiuyan Xu contributes expertise in technology and investment strategies. With a background as an angel investor in Boston Angel network and TBD Angels, Qiuyan Xu supports early-stage start-ups while co-founding YiAn Technology in China to develop AI solutions for industrial safety. Previous roles include Chief Data Scientist at Cignifi Inc. and Director at Liberty Mutual Insurance, showcasing a strong foundation in analytics and risk management. Qiuyan Xu holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of California, Davis, and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
