Kyle S. has a diverse work experience in the field of security and engineering. Kyle currently works as a Sales Engineer at Gravwell since June 2023. Before that, from June 2022 to May 2023, they worked as a Senior Security Engineer at EclecticIQ. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Security Engineer at Sophos from October 2021 to June 2022.

Earlier in their career, Kyle worked at Vectra AI as a Security Engineer from September 2019 to October 2021, and briefly as a Sales Engineer in September 2019. Kyle also worked as a Cyber Threat Hunter at CenturyLink from September 2018 to August 2019.

Kyle had previous experience in the healthcare industry as an IT Security Analyst II at SCL Health from May 2016 to September 2018. Kyle'searliest work experience was in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as an Intelligence Analyst, where they worked from June 2006 to April 2016.

Kyle S. completed their undergraduate education at the University of Colorado Boulder with a focus on Japanese language and literature. Kyle obtained their degree in Japanese in 2001. In 2017, they attended the SANS Technology Institute and received a GIAC certification in GCIH (GIAC Certified Incident Handler).

Additionally, Kyle S. has acquired several certifications to enhance their skills and expertise. Kyle obtained the Sophos Certified Engineer certification from Sophos in November 2021. In September 2017, they earned the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification from GIAC Certifications. In May 2022, they became a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) through EC-Council. Furthermore, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2021 and will be completing the AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification in April 2023.
