Andrew Gaspar

Andrew Gaspar is the Principal of Gaspar Global Ventures. He founded the Schroder Ventures US Fund, a private equity fund that focused on investments in technology, media and business services.

Mr. Gaspar has spent 35 years in private equity investing and has conducted business in 31 countries around the world. From 1991 through 1998, he was the co-founder of the Lauder Gaspar Funds, which invested in global telecom companies and in media in Eastern Europe. For ten years prior to that he was a Partner of Warburg Pincus u0026amp; Co., specializing in technology and media investing. He has served on the Boards of Directors of 40 public and private companies, including Bridge Communications, Central European Media Enterprises, and four current portfolio companies.

Mr. Gaspar started his career as a digital design engineer at Raytheon and spent 10 years with RCA Corporation and its operating divisions in various finance, planning, new business development and operating positions, including running RCA Globcom’s international Voice and Data services.

Mr. Gaspar graduated from Columbia University with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, received an MS degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School. He served two terms as Chairman of the Columbia University Engineering School’s (SEAS) Board of Visitors and currently runs that body’s Long Term Planning Committee. He also serves as Chairman of the Egleston Award Committee and is a past Chair of the Society of Columbia Graduates as well as the Columbia University Alumni Trustee Nominating Committee.
