Iris Seaman

Senior Data Scientist at Gray Falkon

Iris Seaman's work experience begins in 2012 as a Teacher Assistant at BYU Data Mining Lab. Iris later became a Head Teaching Assistant in 2013 and continued as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, where they collected and analyzed Twitter feeds related to drug use.

In 2014, Iris worked as a Software Engineer Internship at Fidelity Investments and later joined Imagine Learning as a Software Engineer. Iris then worked as a Research Assistant at Brigham Young University's Information Retrieval Lab, where they developed information retrieval algorithms for video recommendations.

In 2016, Iris joined the Perception Control and Cognition Lab at BYU as a Research Assistant. Iris'swork involved designing generative probabilistic models and implementing a flexible lightweight embedded probabilistic programming language. Iris presented their research at a conference at Georgia Tech.

In 2017, Iris worked as a Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, leading a goal inference project using Gen to simulate and infer agents' objectives.

From 2018 to 2020, Iris worked as a Researcher PhD Student (Partial) at Northeastern University. Iris'sprojects included designing generative models for high-uncertainty scenarios, publishing mathematical algorithms related to theory of mind models, and training theory of mind agents using reinforcement learning.

Currently, Iris is working at Gray Falkon as a Senior Data Scientist, where they have contributed to projects such as developing a scalable image copyright infringement identifier program and designing an in-house stealth software called Nighthawk.

Overall, Iris Seaman has a diverse background in research and software engineering, with a focus on probabilistic programming, generative modeling, and data analysis.

Iris Seaman has a strong educational background in the field of computer science and machine learning. Iris completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Machine Learning at Northeastern University from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University, which they attended from 2016 to 2018. Iris also earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the same institution between 2011 and 2014.

Before pursuing higher education, Iris Seaman obtained their High School Diploma from Veteran's Memorial High School in the year 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Iris Seaman has obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. Iris completed courses such as "Machine Learning with Python: k-Means Clustering," "Google Cloud Platform for Machine Learning Essential Training," "MLExpert," "MLOps Essentials: Model Development and Integration," and "Machine Learning with Python: Logistic Regression." These certificates were obtained between March and April 2023 from various institutions including LinkedIn and AlgoExpert.
