Emily Walch has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Emily is currently working as a Senior Counsel at Grayling since March 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Corporate Affairs Director at The Investment Association from March 2017 to July 2021. Emily also worked as an Executive Director, External Affairs at the British Bankers' Association from August 2015 to March 2017. Emily has a background in government and politics, having served as a Special Adviser to Vince Cable, Secretary of State at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills from February 2012 to May 2015. Emily also worked as a Senior Consultant at Blue Rubicon from March 2008 to February 2012. Early in their career, Emily held various roles within the Liberal Democrats, including Press Secretary to London Mayoral Candidate Brian Paddick, Senior Press Officer for the London Assembly Liberal Democrats, and Head of Office for Sir Menzies Campbell, Leader of the Liberal Democrats. Emily also worked as a Parliamentary Researcher for Roger Williams MP and Lord Tom McNally, Leader of the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lords.

Emily Walch obtained a BA Hons in History of Art from the University of Warwick from 1999 to 2002. Emily then pursued an MPhil in European Studies at the University of Cambridge from 2002 to 2003.
