William Shin

William Shin is an experienced software engineer currently working at Great Expectations since May 2020, where efforts focus on data quality through testing, documentation, and profiling. Prior to this role, William was a data engineer at Insight Data Science, creating data engineering pipelines for analyzing large Twitter datasets. Previous positions include software developer at JW.org, where core software functionalities were developed for a management tool, and author of Web Analytics at PACKT PUBLISHING LIMITED, responsible for course content on digital analytics. Earlier in the career, William served as a bioinformatics scientist at Kelaroo Inc., designing drug discovery frameworks. William holds a Ph.D. in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in the same field from UC San Diego.
