Melissa Stangl, M.Ed., has extensive experience in social work and student engagement, currently serving as the Dean of Student and Family Engagement and School Social Worker at Great Lakes Academy Charter School since June 2021. Previous roles include School Social Worker at Hennepin Elementary School and multiple positions within Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191, where Melissa provided mental health support, led community initiatives, and collaborated with parents to enhance student attendance. Additional experience encompasses working as a Child Protection Intake Screener in Ramsey County, leading social skills groups and developing programs for diverse student populations across various educational institutions. Melissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and a Master's degree in Youth Development Leadership, showcasing a strong foundation in both social work and educational leadership.
