Senior Research Engineer at Great Lakes Crystal Technologies

Cristian Herrera Rodriguez has extensive work experience in the field of research and engineering. Their most recent position is as a Senior Research Engineer at Great Lakes Crystal Technologies, a role they have held since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a PHD Student at Michigan State University from September 2017 to May 2023. In 2017, they also held a temporary position as a Research Intern at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center from June to August.

Cristian Herrera Rodriguez has a diverse education history in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. From 2017 to 2023, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Michigan State University. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2014, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Electronics from INAOE, specializing in optoelectronic properties of tin-doped indium oxide films manufactured with DC Magnetron. Furthermore, from 2004 to 2010, Cristian completed their undergraduate studies in Electronic Engineering at Instituto Tecnológico de Mérida. During this time, they focused on automation and commissioning of an instrumented device for impact testing with an interface.
