Nicky Bishop

Nicky was appointed as a Trustee in January 2017 and sits on the Governance, Reputation and Risk Committee.

After a career in advertising, Nicky joined the voluntary sector and has over 25 years' experience in leadership and fundraising. This included four years with the Red Cross Children's Hospital Trust in Cape Town. Known as the 'Great Ormond Street' of Africa, it was under pressure to close in the late 90's and needed funds to build a new outpatient wing for its 300,000 outpatients each year.

After returning to the UK and WWF, Nicky went back to the Hospital for a further three years to establish sub-Saharan African specialist paediatric education programmes at Red Cross as well as Hospital facilities enabling international surgical cross-learning.

Nicky is now a fundraising consultant for international NGOs and UK charities and a Trustee of the Baynard’s Zambia Trust.
