John McLean

John McLean has a diverse work experience history, starting from their most recent role as the Head of Governance for Great Places Housing Group. Prior to that, they served as the Data Protection and Compliance Manager for AQA, where they were responsible for managing the Data Protection Office and strengthening the organization's information governance approach. John then worked as the Head of Quality and Compliance for PSS UK, a health and social care charity, overseeing various processes such as quality management, safeguarding, and social impact reporting. Before that, they served as a Performance Lead for "I Will If You Will" project at Bury Council, where they analyzed data to identify trends and promote sport and physical exercise among women and girls. John also worked as a Programme Manager at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, managing the development of social care guidelines and quality standards. Additionally, they held positions at Rochdale MBC as a Performance Improvement Manager and Performance Manager in Adult Social Care, involving performance improvement, business analysis, and strategic management. Early in their career, they were a Policy and Performance Officer at Bolton Council and a National Management Trainee, undertaking various strategic, support, and front-line projects.

John McLean completed their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Law at the University of Strathclyde from 2000 to 2005. John then pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Local Government Management at the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School from 2005 to 2007. Lastly, they obtained their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Public Leadership and Management from the University of Warwick from 2014 to 2018.
