Angela currently serves as a program officer in the Office of Indian Education. Since arriving at the U.S. Department of Education in 2007, Ms. Hernandez has served as team leader for after school and college and career readiness grant programs. Her prior work experience spans education policy development, programming, and communications roles in government and non-governmental organizations in Washington, DC, New York, Minnesota, Texas, and her home state of California. She holds a joint M.P.Aff from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs and M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. from Columbia University.
Angela has served on the GSP Board since September 2017.
