Figen T.

Figen T. started their work experience in 1998 at Mount Sinai Medical Center as an International Patient Coordinator. Figen then joined Bergen County CAP, Inc. in 1999, where they worked as a Per Diem ESL Instructor until 2000. From 2000 to 2006, they served as the Lead Instructor/Program Coordinator at the same company. Figen later became the Assistant Director of Education & Training from 2006 to 2009. In 2009, Figen joined Greater Bergen Community Action, Inc. as the Director of Education & Training Center. Figen currently holds the position of VP of Education & Training since October 2020.

Figen T. obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in TESL from Anadolu University between 1986 and 1990. After that, from 1991 to 1995, they pursued further education at Montclair State University, where they earned a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with a field of study in TESL. In 2011, Figen completed a Nonprofit Leadership Certificate program at Bergen Community College.
