Greater Cleveland Food Bank
Kristin Warzocha has a strong background in nonprofit organizations and has held various leadership roles throughout their career. Kristin first started working at the Greater Cleveland Committee on Hunger in 1993, where they served as the Harvest for Hunger Campaign Manager until 1996.
In 1996, Warzocha moved on to the American Red Cross, Greater Cleveland Chapter, where they worked as the Associate Director of Public Relations. During their time there, they managed the public relations department and raised awareness of the organization's work through various initiatives. Kristin also served as a national spokesperson during large-scale natural disasters.
In 2000, Warzocha joined the Greater Cleveland Food Bank as the Director of External Affairs. In this role, they led a talented team responsible for fundraising, communications, advocacy, and volunteer services. Kristin also spearheaded the SNAP Outreach efforts, helping thousands of local residents apply for food assistance each year.
Warzocha was promoted to the position of Vice President, External Affairs in 2010. In this role, they continued to lead the efforts mentioned above and was responsible for engaging over 12,000 volunteers and raising more than $10 million annually.
Finally, in 2014, Warzocha was appointed as the President and CEO of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, a position they currently hold. This demonstrates their exceptional leadership skills and dedication to the organization's mission of fighting hunger.
Kristin Warzocha earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Communications from John Carroll University from 1989 to 1993. Kristin also pursued additional certifications in managing organizational change, leading your team through change, The Leader Habit (Blinkist Summary), and leading in crisis from LinkedIn, with the most recent certification obtained in 2021. Additionally, they completed courses in Governing for Nonprofit Excellence and Strategic Issues in Nonprofit Leadership at Harvard Business School, although the specific dates are not provided.
Greater Cleveland Food Bank
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank works to ensure that everyone in our communities has the nutritious food they need every day. The Food Bank supplies a majority of the food used in local hot meal sites, shelters, and food pantries. In addition, we provide food to child care centers, group homes, and programs for the elderly. We work closely with other Northeast Ohio hunger relief organizations, providing food and nonfood products to hunger centers administered by the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland, the Catholic Hunger and Shelter Network, and the Salvation Army, among others.
