Chinara Rustamova has extensive experience in policy advisory roles. Chinara currently works as a Principal Policy Officer - Economic and Business Policy at the Greater London Authority since November 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Policy Advisor (Policy Lead) at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) from March 2019 to November 2021. In this role, they shaped education, innovation, enterprise, and skills policies, authored reports, conducted research projects, lobbied the government, and represented the interests of small businesses. Before joining the FSB, Rustamova worked as a Policy Advisor at the British Academy from January 2017 to May 2018 and as a Policy Officer at the British Pharmacological Society from October 2015 to January 2017.
Chinara Rustamova obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Dentistry degree from the Medical University of Azerbaijan between the years 2000 and 2006. Chinara then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Health, Community and Development from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2012 to 2014. Later, they studied Public Policy Economics at the University of Oxford from January to April 2020.
