Ruth Sergenian has extensive experience in economic research and analysis. Currently, they serve as the Director of Economic Research at AllianceSTL, an initiative of Greater St. Louis, Inc. Ruth has been in this position since March 2019. At AllianceSTL, Ruth promotes the competitive advantages of the St. Louis metropolitan area to attract jobs and investments. Prior to their current role, Ruth worked as the Director of Economic Research and Analysis at the St. Louis Regional Chamber from March 2008 to March 2019. Before that, they were a Project Manager at RegionWise from March 2000 to March 2008. Ruth also worked as a Real Estate Economist at Development Strategies from June 1996 to February 2000 and as the Director of Real Estate Market Research at Sansone Group from 1994 to 1996. Ruth began their career at the National Association of REALTORS® as a Research Economist from 1989 to 1991 and later became the Director of Investment Real Estate Research from 1991 to 1993.
Ruth Sergenian holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan. Prior to this, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University.
