Gisela Shanfeld

Gisela joined The Community Foundation in March 2017 as the Donor Services Associate for the DC office of Philanthropy and Donor Services and is excited to be a part of “the other side of grant-making”. She formerly spent four years working in Development at Synetic Theater in Arlington, Virginia where she learned a lot about DC Philanthropy and the burgeoning DC Theater Scene. As a graduate with a BA in Sociology and Political Science from the Anglo-American University in Prague, Gisela has long held an interest in the work and impact of NGOs; from grassroots community organizations to those working on an international level.
