George Papageorge MFT has extensive work experience in the field of mental health and counseling. George is currently working as an Adjunct Professor at Santa Clara University since March 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Family Wellness- Metropolis of San Francisco at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America starting from 2017. George also has their own practice, George Papageorge MFT - Psychological Services & Seminars, where they have been serving as a Licensed Psychotherapist since 1991.

George Papageorge MFT holds a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from Azusa Pacific University, which they completed from 1987 to 1989. George also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Ancient Biblical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics, with a minor in Psychology, from Simpson University during the period from 1980 to 1983. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's degree in Drafting/Design Engineering Technologies from the College of San Mateo, graduating in 1980.
