Wil Thorpe

Wil Thorpe is an accomplished independent songwriter and experienced educator with over 20 years of work in special education and school counseling. Since 1998, Wil has contributed to the field of education at Weld County School District 6, focusing on middle school students, initially in special education and later as a school counselor. Prior experience includes serving as a special education teacher at Papillion-La Vista School District from 1992 to 1997. Wil holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and Teaching with a focus on Adaptive PE from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from the University of Phoenix. In addition to educational roles, Wil is passionate about songwriting and has engaged with notable songwriters in Nashville.
