Denicia Richards

Senior Accountant at Green Generation

As Senior Accountant, Denicia is responsible for GreenGen’s accounts receivable and accounts payable, and she prepares project analyses. In this role, she supports the Finance team to maintain accounting records. In the addition, she coordinates with the implementation team for project accounting.

Previously, she managed procurement and oversaw multiple construction projects for a company that specialized in quantum photonics. She also developed contingency plans with the Department of Homeland Security to be in compliance for a Tier 2 level facility. She also initiated the Maryland Green team registry with RMI, which focused on replacing all lighting to LED fixtures and retro-commissioning the HVAC system.

Denicia began her career at Optotraffic as a dispatcher and later was promoted to Senior Buyer, managing an inventory of $2 million required to build speed enforcement cameras for Prince George’s County.

Denicia is certified in Purchasing and Contracting for federal government acquisition process and is a candidate for an accounting degree at UMUC.

Denicia comes from a multicultural background and is the eldest of five siblings. She enjoys traveling and vlogging her experience when out of the country.
