Peter King

EVP Business Development at Green Man Gaming

Peter King has over 30 years of experience in the video games industry. Peter began their career in 1990 as a Key Account Manager for Columbia Tristar, where they were responsible for video sales into key accounts across London. In 1995, they became Sales Manager for Novalogic, where they successfully launched F22 and Delta Force, achieving No 1 positions in the charts and maintaining the momentum of all titles. Peter then moved to Broderbund Software in 1998 as Sales Manager, where they were responsible for sales in the UK and Europe and worked with territory partners on promotions and trade events. Peter successfully launched Riven, the follow up to the No 1 success of Myst, which achieved 9 weeks at the number 1 spot. In 2001, they took on the role of Business Development and Emerging markets Manager for ACTIVISION BLIZZARD UK LTD, working with US Business development and legal teams and liaising and selling to new emerging markets. In 2007, they became MD of 1C UK Limited, where they were responsible for finding and sourcing partners for titles developed in the Russian markets and taking them to the rest of the world for localization and full launch both in Box and digital. In 2012, they became COO of KISS Ltd., where they provided a publishing service to thousands of studios looking for a team to help them launch their titles on the digital space. In 2018, they took on the role of Senior Business Development Manager for Fanatical, where they were responsible for content licensing, brand management and partner relations across all aspects of games and software global publishing operations, for retail and digital. Most recently, in 2019, they became EVP Business Development and then SVP Business Development for Green Man Gaming, where they were responsible for a global pure-play e-commerce and technology business in the video games industry.

Peter King attended Gayton High School from 1976 to 1980. Peter then went on to obtain a Diploma in Stage Managment and Technical Theatre from Mountview Theatre School between 1980 and 1983.
