Tony Appleton

Tony Appleton, FIMechE, is an accomplished professional in the offshore wind sector with extensive experience in leadership and strategic roles. Currently serving as Vice Chair of the Board for Offshore Wind California and as an Offshore Wind Director at Burns & McDonnell, Tony has played key roles in promoting offshore wind initiatives globally. With a background that includes board memberships at Oceantic Network and Green Marine Solutions, and positions such as Non Executive Director at Spurr Ltd and Managing Director at Green Power (Global) Limited, Tony demonstrates a strong commitment to advancing the renewable energy industry. Tony also has a history of leadership within regional economic development as Chair of the Offshore and SubSea Working Group for the North East Local Enterprise Partnership. An alumnus of Newcastle University with a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, Tony has also pursued executive education at Henley Business School.
