Mikelle Carnagey

Mikelle Carnagey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Mikelle started their career as a Sales Associate at Maurices in 2008 and later worked as a Piazza worker at the University of Northern Iowa. Mikelle then joined State Farm Insurance as a Marketing and Sales Representative in 2013.

In 2013, they also served as the Girl Services Manager at the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa. Mikelle then transitioned into the field of HR, working as an HRIS Specialist at Election Systems & Software from 2015 to 2016. After that, they took on the role of an Employee Experience Specialist at the same company.

In 2018, Mikelle became an HR Generalist at Tenaska, where they partnered with business areas to meet HR needs, advised management on HR policies, coordinated recruiting processes, and ensured compliance with employment regulations.

Their most recent role was as a Benefits Manager at Green Plains Inc. starting in 2019. In this position, they researched employee benefits plans, managed open enrollment, ensured compliance with regulations, and advised employees on benefits matters.

Mikelle Carnagey has a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management from Bellevue University, which was obtained from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, Mikelle earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication, General from the University of Northern Iowa from 2009 to 2012.
