Josh Barrington

Josh Barrington has varied work experience spanning over several years. Their most recent role is as the SVP of Technology at Green Thumb Industries (GTI), a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Walgreens for a significant portion of their career. At Walgreens, they held several senior-level positions, including PIO-VP Retail Solutions, M&A, Sr. Director of Global Technology Delivery, Sr. Director of Retail Systems, and Director of Merchandising Systems. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing various aspects of the retail environment, such as merchandising, supply chain, and POS and payment systems applications. Josh also played a crucial role in implementing SAP globally and leading a complete end-to-end assessment and implementation of Walgreens' front-end retail capabilities. Before joining Walgreens, Josh worked at Diamond Consulting as a Manager, where they consulted with different organizations to deliver results using technology. Their early career includes a role at Motorola as a Senior Software Developer, where they led offshore teams and worked on various mobile phone features and UI architecture.

Josh Barrington completed their education from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Josh enrolled in the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) program from 2005 to 2007, with a focus on Finance, Strategy, and International Business. Prior to that, they attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science.
