VP, Strategy at Green Thumb Industries

Laura Brown has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Laura began their career as an Absolute Returns Analyst at The Investment Fund for Foundations, where they managed a large pool of hedge funds and led a project to build a proprietary database. Laura then moved on to work as an Associate at Goldman Sachs, where they evaluated fund managers and optimized global portfolio allocation decisions. Laura later joined Last Mile Technologies as Vice President of Product Planning, where they played a key role in setting company and product strategy, developing a mobile wallet application, and implementing multi-channel sales and marketing strategies. Laura then transitioned to a role as a Management Consultant at Capco, where they worked on strategic special projects, led the redesign of digital engagement for a large regional bank, and created a global target operating model for a Fortune 500 financial services company. In 2016, Laura became a Co-Founder and Director of Operations at Chesapeake Alternatives before joining Green Thumb Industries (GTI) in 2017. At GTI, they assumed the role of VP of Strategy and also worked in wholesale.

Laura Brown attended Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business from 2009 to 2011, earning an MBA with a specialization in Finance. Prior to that, they attended Amherst College from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
