Robert Sherman

Robert Sherman is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Senior Counsel at Greenberg Traurig, LLP since August 1999, where Robert founded the Boston office. In addition, Robert is a member of the Global Supervisory Board and Chair of the Compliance Committee at NOVO BANCO, focusing on EU regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering. Robert also contributes as a Board Member for Opportunity Network and previously served as an advisor to Ascent Leadership Networks and a Senior Advisor to Rasky Partners. Robert's notable governmental experience includes serving as the United States Ambassador to Portugal from 2014 to 2017, where economic and international security were primary focuses. Earlier in their career, Robert was a Partner at Eckert Seamans and led the Consumer Protection Division at the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. Robert holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science and Government from the University of Rochester.
