Growing up on the water in Virginia Beach, Lauren has always been fascinated by the ebb and flow of the relationship with the natural world. Coming from a family of restaurant owners, she saw the direct effects of consumer power on the economy and the community's well-being. Struck with motivation to cultivate positive relationships between communities and the shared environment, she found herself with a passion for environmental communication. Lauren believes in the power of interdisciplinary collaboration to aid in this environmental crisis.
