Reshmi Wolvers is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in social impact and renewable energy sectors. Currently serving as an Expert Analyst at GreenCape since August 2017, Reshmi leads social impact projects and manages the Alternative Service Delivery Unit, focusing on off-grid energy services for underserved communities. Previous roles at GreenCape include Senior Energy Analyst and Energy Analyst, where efforts concentrated on developing decentralized energy solutions and bridging gaps between industry, academia, and government. Reshmi's experience also encompasses serving as an external examiner at Stellenbosch University and a role with the Western Cape Government, where responsibilities included mobilizing energy efficiency programs and coordinating industrial engagement initiatives. Educational qualifications include a Master of Philosophy in Sustainable Development (Renewable Energy) and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Stellenbosch University and the University of Pretoria, respectively.

We work with businesses, investors, academia and government to help unlock the investment and employment potential of green technologies and services, and to support a transition to a resilient green economy. We are a not-for-profit organisation established in 2010 to support the development of the green economy in the region. Our ambition To be globally relevant in driving the uptake of green economy infrastructure solutions in the developing world context. What do we do? We work at the interface between business, government and academia in order to identify and remove barriers to economically viable green economy infrastructure solutions in developing countries, thereby catalysing their replicable and large-scale uptake to enable each country and its citizens to prosper.
