Lars Claussen has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering, GIS (Geographic Information Systems) analysis, and climate change research.

Starting in 2007, Lars worked as a Research Assistant at Geoforschungszentrum Potsdam (GFZ), where they developed modules for a web-service that provided flood damage estimation and GIS applications to estimate flood risk zones.

In 2008, they worked as a Freelancer for agripol, contributing to a climate change and cultural landscape study assignment for the Berliner Senatsverwaltung f\u00fcr Stadtentwicklung Berlin. Lars provided expert knowledge on climate modeling and climate change impacts, performing data analyses and processing climate model output.

From 2010 to 2012, Lars served as a Senior GIS Specialist at Waternet, where they created GIS processing tools, manipulated vector geometries, performed statistical analysis, and worked on raster processing and database administration.

In 2013, they joined AND Automotive Navigation Data as a Software Developer, specializing in Python programming and utilizing open source GIS tools for managing large geo data.

In 2014, Lars transitioned to Nelen & Schuurmans as a Software Engineer, specifically working at the 3Di lab, where they performed challenging software engineering tasks.

Most recently, Lars joined Greener Power Solutions in 2022 as a Software Engineer, focusing on developing software solutions for renewable energy.

Lars Claussen obtained their Diplom Geograph degree from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, specializing in Geography, Geographic Information Science, and Cartography. Lars pursued their studies at the university from 1999 to 2006.
