Ori Sarfaty

Ori Sarfaty has a diverse work experience spanning many industries and roles. Ori is currently the VP of R&D at Greeneye Technology since June 2023. Prior to this, Ori was self-employed at Modality Medical starting from January 2023.

From March 2020 to February 2023, Ori served as the VP R&D and Site Manager at Emedgene, an Illumina Company. At Emedgene, they developed a medical diagnosis system for genetic diseases using machine learning technologies and Big Data analysis tools.

Before that, Ori worked at Applied Materials for many years in various positions. From July 2012 to February 2020, they were the Vice President Product Development (R&D), responsible for managing the design, development, and commercialization of new platforms and products. Ori also led innovation programs in the fields of Physics, Algorithms, and Machine Learning. Prior to this, Ori held the position of Head of Technology Department from 2010 to 2012, where they conducted research and technology development in various fields, including Physics and Material Analysis. Ori also served as an R&D Manager from 2005 to 2010.

Ori's entrepreneurial journey began in 1996 when they founded Sagitta, a start-up company. As the General Manager, they took on various responsibilities such as fundraising, business development, marketing, and sales. Ori successfully grew Sagitta into a multi-million USD company before leaving in 2004.

Early in their career, Ori worked at El-Op/Elbit Systems as a Software Team Leader from 1993 to 1995, focusing on aerospace systems and medical imaging projects. Ori also worked as an Algorithm Developer at Scientific Systems Inc. from 1991 to 1993 and as a Researcher and Algorithm Developer at the NeuroMuscular Research Center from 1989 to 1991.

Ori Sarfaty pursued their education in chronological order, beginning with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Ori completed this degree with honors in 1988. Subsequently, Ori Sarfaty attended Boston University from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering.
