Jeffrey Wasserstein has a strong and diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and investment banking industries. Jeffrey started their career as the Senior Vice President at Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals in 1990, where they worked until 2003. During this time, they held various senior roles and was involved in crisis management and strategic responses to FDA actions.
In 2001, Wasserstein joined Schering-Plough as a Senior Vice President. Jeffrey was recruited by and reported directly to the Chairman & CEO, and was responsible for managing a complex corporate-wide strategic response to FDA action with significant financial implications for the company.
In 2004, Wasserstein became the EVP & Chief Business Officer at Avigenics Inc. before moving on to serve as an Advisory Board Member at Pharmascience, a leading Canadian pharmaceutical company. From 2005 to 2009, they held multiple roles including President of Promius Pharma, where they founded and built the first fully integrated branded specialty pharmaceutical company for Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, a global generic organization. Alongside this role, Wasserstein also served as the President of Promius Pharma, L.L.C.
In 2010, Wasserstein joined Fougera Pharmaceuticals Inc. as the SVP of Business Development & Strategy. Jeffrey played a key role in the company's growth and development for two years before transitioning to Greenhill & Co. in 2012, where they currently hold the position of Managing Director.
Additionally, Wasserstein has also served as a Board Member and Chair of the Audit Committee at Aptilon, a publicly traded e-technology company providing services to the pharmaceutical industry.
Throughout their career, Wasserstein has demonstrated leadership and expertise in business development, strategy, and finance within the pharmaceutical industry.
Jeffrey Wasserstein completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Government at Franklin & Marshall College from 1976 to 1980. Following this, from 1980 to 1983, they pursued their Juris Doctorate degree at New York University School of Law.
