Jacob Deguire

Jacob DeGuire has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and positions. Jacob began their career as a Marketing Assistant at alusuisse composites in 2000. Jacob then worked as a Camp Counselor at Falling Creek Camp from 2001 to 2004.

In 2006, Jacob joined the US Army as a Platoon Leader, where they were responsible for leading missions and ensuring the readiness of soldiers and equipment. Jacob served in Iraq and Afghanistan, gaining experience in combat operations and reconnaissance.

After leaving the military, Jacob worked at the US Army's Foreign Area Officer Training Program in 2013, where they focused on building expertise in African Regional Knowledge and experience. Jacob then served as a Company Commander and Battalion Operations Officer, overseeing mission readiness, welfare, and strategic planning.

Jacob's career later shifted to the intelligence field, working as an All Source Intelligence Analyst at the National Ground Intelligence Center, specializing in sub-Saharan Africa.

Since 2017, Jacob has been working at GreenLight Biosciences, starting as a Director of Human Resources and progressing to roles such as Director of People Success and Senior Director Plant Health People Success Partner. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President, People and Operations.

Throughout their career, Jacob has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic planning, and people management skills. Jacob has gained experience in various industries, showcasing adaptability and broad expertise.

Jacob DeGuire has a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Tennessee at Martin, which was completed between 2002 and 2005. In 2013, they earned an Associate's degree in French Studies from the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center. From 2014 to 2015, they attended Boston University, obtaining a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Relations and Affairs. In 2018, they started pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School, which was completed in 2020. During the same period, from 2019 to 2020, they also earned a Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) from the same institution.
