Desmond Lim

Desmond Lim has over nine years of work experience in the engineering field. In 2021, they joined Greenlots as a Senior Project Engineer. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at Carlton Hotel Singapore, where they began as an Intern and progressed to Assistant Chief Engineer and then Chief Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for leading and developing the department's capabilities to achieve quality performance and productivity goals, managing capital expenditures and budgets, and consolidating and transitioning the majority of floor plans and other paperwork to the cloud. Desmond also successfully received the Excellent Service Award 2019. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at Grand Hyatt Singapore as an Engineer, where they managed a team of 11 supervisors and technicians on preventive maintenance and issue resolution in the building, as well as oversaw the maintenance of hotel rooms and overall system functionality. Desmond also developed and deployed a new system that enabled preventive maintenance in the rooms to optimise resources, and restructured the Repair & Maintenance department into two separate teams for better control and monitoring of productivity and quality results. In 2012, they began their career as an Intern at NORDAM.

Desmond Lim completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University Singapore from 2010 to 2014. Desmond then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the National University of Singapore from 2017 to 2019.
