JD Simpson has a wealth of experience in the civil engineering industry, specializing in bridge, structural, highway, and transportation engineering. JD began their career as a Bridge Engineer at Lichtenstein in 1994, where they worked until 1998. From 1998 to 2009, they served as a Senior Bridge Engineer and later as a Structural Section Manager at HNTB Corporation. During this time, they managed a team of engineers and oversaw bridge design, retrofit, and inspection contracts. In 2009, JD took on the role of Mid-Atlantic District Quality Assurance Manager at HNTB Corporation, where they managed quality processes and provided training to approximately 200 staff across 4 offices. In 2013, they joined PKB Engineering Corporation as an Office Leader and Lead Structural Engineer, a position they held until 2018. Currently, JD is the Vice President and Director of West Virginia Operations at GPI / Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. In this role, they lead the office and has significant experience in bridge replacement and renovation projects.
JD Simpson attended Lehigh University from 1990 to 1994, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering.
