Brian F. Hansen

Brian Hansen is a partner of the Litigation, Real Estate, and Construction practice group at Greenspoon Marder. Mr. Hansen carries an assortment of legal experience to his litigation practice, including representing logistics, transportation and poultry companies throughout the Southeast in the defense of trucking accidents, wrongful death and premises liability claims that involve catastrophic injuries, and in responding to highly sensitive investigations and allegations from government agencies.

Mr. Hansen also focuses a considerable amount of his practice on construction law. He represents contractors, owners and design professionals on construction projects on a national basis often beginning with reviewing, drafting and negotiating construction contracts and continuing with a practical, cost-effective approach to address and avoid problems, disputes and claims that arise during the construction project. In the event that a claim arises, Mr. Hansen has successfully prosecuted claims through litigation and alternative dispute resolution in numerous federal and state courts as well as various ADR forums. Brian is a frequent lecturer to clients on key industry topics including proving and pricing construction claims, as well as refining internal processes to maximize recovery in contested matters.

Furthermore, Mr. Hansen has a keen understanding of issues facing secured creditors and banks and serves a wide-range of regional, national, and international financial services providers and industry players. Mr. Hansen helps manage both the risk of litigation and the litigation of matters related to notes and guaranties, negotiated loan workouts, personal and real property foreclosures and confirmations, receiverships, defense of lender liability claims, fraudulent conveyances and judgment enforcement activities. In addition, Mr. Hansen has defended many consumer finance litigation matters including collective/class actions in a number of federal districts. Mr. Hansen brings his in-depth knowledge of the business operations and legal considerations of major financial and lending institutions, banks and bank holding companies to his representation of each client. He regularly speaks at financial services industry-focused events on lender availability.
