Steve Hayes

Steve Hayes has extensive experience in corporate affairs and communications. Steve is currently serving as the Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications at GreenSquareAccord since April 2022. Prior to this, they were the Director of Communications at Citizen from July 2021 to April 2022. Steve also held the position of Head of Communications at Citizen from July 2018 to July 2021. Before joining Citizen, Steve worked as a Communications Manager at the Chartered Institute of Housing from July 2016 to July 2018. Steve also served as the PR and Communications Lead at Housing & Care 21 from May 2015 to July 2016. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Account Manager at Creative Bridge from October 2013 to April 2015, and as a Communications Associate at Arrhythmia Alliance from July 2012 to September 2013. Steve began their career as a News Editor at Bullivant Media, where they worked from August 2008 to July 2012.

Steve Hayes attended the University of Bristol from 2004 to 2007, earning a degree in Modern History with first-class honours. Steve then pursued a Post-graduate Diploma in Newspaper Studies at Cardiff University/Prifysgol Caerdydd from 2007 to 2008. Prior to that, Steve completed their A-levels at Solihull Sixth Form College from 2002 to 2004, studying History, Politics, Psychology, and English.
