Vee Popat has held various roles in the education sector. They began their career in 2003 as a Supervisor of Arts and Instrumental Music Teacher at Randolph Township Schools. During their time there, they were honored as a "Teacher of the Year" and recognized as a "Randolph Rock Star" in 2011 by the Randolph Education Foundation. In 2013, Popat moved on to become the Middle School Principal at West Essex Regional School District. After six years in this position, they became the Director of the Fine Arts Center at Greenville County Schools in 2019.
Vee Popat holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Virginia Tech, which was completed between the years 1995 and 1999. Later, from 2000 to 2002, they pursued a Master of Music degree in Jazz Pedagogy at the University of Miami. Lastly, between 2008 and 2011, Vee obtained a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from the University of Scranton.
