Respected as a successful executive leader, Julie is known for her positive approach and contagious enthusiasm which fuels her ability to engage quickly with key influencers to uncover opportunities, then realign all stakeholders to achieve common goals.

As Executive Director of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra — the Upstate’s largest professional performing arts organization that draws more than 30,000 people to downtown Greenville annually — Julie collaborates with the organization’s staff, musicians, guild and board to extend the reach and impact of the GSO.

Prior to joining the Greenville Symphony in July 2017, Julie was recruited by the Columbus (OH) Symphony as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for a change management role to launch a new strategic plan with accompanying initiatives, vision and programming.

Julie started her musical journey as a French horn performance major at The Ohio State University and The Cleveland Institute of Music. She also served as a Bandsman and Principal horn in the United States Air Force, leading four separate touring ensembles, before beginning her full-time employment in the performing arts. Her comprehensive vita includes serving as Vice President/General Manager of the Milwaukee Symphony, and as Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of the San Antonio Symphony, as well as Vice President/General Manager of the Atlanta Symphony.

Julie currently resides in downtown Greenville with her faithful canine companions, and Harry the cat.
