Julie Carlson

Julie Carlson is a seasoned soccer coach and educator with extensive experience in women's soccer program management and development. Currently serving as the Head Coach and Technical Director for Greenville Liberty USL W League since December 2021, Carlson oversees player development, recruiting, training, staffing, budgeting, and community engagement. Additional coaching experience includes an Assistant Coach role at Greenville Triumph SC, an Adjunct Professor in Athletic Leadership at Clemson University, and previous positions as Head Women's Soccer Coach at Jacksonville State University and Virginia Military Institute, where Carlson built the first women's NCAA Division I soccer team. Additional roles have included Director of Women's Soccer Operations at Anderson University and Director of Coaching for Clemson Anderson Soccer Alliance. Education includes a Master’s degree in Parks, Recreation and Sports Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wright State University.
