Alexander Watson is the Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder at Gretel.ai, a startup that is revolutionizing the way people interact with artificial intelligence. Prior to their current role, Watson served as Sr. Director of Security Research at Websense Labs from May 2013 to July 2014. In this role, they led a team of talented security and machine-learning researchers to discover, track, and protect against constantly evolving cyber threats.

Before their time at Websense, Watson worked as a Field Operations Officer for the United States Department of Defense from May 2002 to March 2009. In this role, they designed, developed, and deployed systems globally to satisfy mission requirements. Alexander also spent over two years deployed outside of the United States as part of a Quick Reaction Capability. Watson is considered an Intelligence community subject matter expert in key technologies, such as exploitation and processing of computer networks, high data rate communications, wireless technologies, and the design of tactical collection and targeting systems.

Alexander Watson has a B.S. in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
