Andrew Alvarez

Andrew Alvarez currently serves as the Solar Outreach Project Coordinator at GRID Alternatives, where responsibilities include developing outreach strategies for renewable energy technology and job training in underserved communities across Riverside, San Bernardino, and Inyo counties. Previous experience includes roles as an Energy Analyst at the California Energy Commission, managing grant funding for electric vehicle projects, and a Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Analyst at SEI, where energy efficiency initiatives were implemented for numerous facilities. Andrew's background in education includes teaching science and English language development, along with experience as a Physics tutor at the University of Redlands. Andrew holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Relay Graduate School of Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from the University of Redlands.
