Jing Tong

Jing Tong is a legal professional with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and shareholder activism. Currently serving as Senior Counsel at Grid United since April 2024, Jing previously held the position of Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Surge Energy America from July 2023 to February 2024. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Vinson & Elkins from October 2014 to July 2023, where Jing progressed from Associate to Counsel. Additionally, Jing has engaged in academia as a Teaching Quizmaster at The University of Texas School of Law and has gained judicial insight through internships at the Supreme Court of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. Jing holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from The University of Texas School of Law and advanced degrees in Philosophy from Baylor University and Wuhan University.
