Snorri V.

Snorri V. has been working in the design industry since 2008. Snorri began their career as a Product Design Intern at BMW Group DesignworksUSA, followed by a Consultant - Designer role at Einarsson Fly Fishing. In 2009, Snorri V. was the Director of Design at Rafnar Maritime and the Creative Director / Partner at Ráðuneytið. In 2012, they became a Freelance Designer and in 2016, they founded Salt Ski Company, where they served as Founder, Designer, and Maker. In 2018, Snorri V. became the Product Manager at Think Outside AS, where they were responsible for the design of the ski mounted sensor as well as UX design for digital products. In 2021, they took on the role of Product Designer at GRID - the new face of spreadsheets.

Snorri V. has a long history of education and certifications. Snorri obtained an MA in Industrial Design from Lund University and The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University between 2004 and 2009. Prior to that, they attended Iðnskólinn í Reykjavík from 1996 to 1999, studying Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician. In 2021, they obtained certifications in Agile Planning for Software Products, Software Processes and Agile Practices, Introduction to Software Product Management, UX Deep Dive: Remote Research, and other related courses from the University of Alberta. Snorri also obtained certifications from LinkedIn in 2020 and 2021, including Becoming a Product Manager, Designing Emotion: How To Use Design To Move People, Product Innovation for Product Managers, Product Management Tips, Product Management: Building a Product Strategy, Scrum: Advanced, Product Management: Building a Product Roadmap, Persuasive UX: Ethics of Persuasive Design, UX Deep Dive: Analyzing Data, UX Deep Dive: Mapping, UX Foundations: Storytelling, UX for Voice: Planning and Implementation, and User Experience Design for Wearables.
