Hunain Shamsi

Hunain Shamsi is an Electrical Engineer at GridBlock since June 2023, specializing in power electronics, PCB design, firmware, embedded software, and electrical testing. Previous experience includes an FPGA Engineering Internship at Information Sciences Institute, where coverage metrics and tests were developed for Xilinx FPGA series, alongside fault-analysis tests. As an undergraduate research assistant at Space @ Virginia Tech, Hunain developed embedded systems for flight computers for CubeSats and implemented PID control for neutron emissions. Additional roles include avionics engineer for the Student Payload Design Team - RockSat-X, production technician at Virginia Tech Production Services, and student orientation leader at Virginia Tech Student Affairs. Hunain holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on Networking and Cybersecurity from Virginia Tech and a high school diploma from Muscat International School.
