Malinda Simpson

Malinda Simpson is a corporate attorney with experience working on a variety of corporate legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions and general contractual matters. Simpson also has significant experience with employee and executive compensation matters. In her current role, Simpson works on GridLiance’s acquisitions, developments, and other corporate legal work, and assists with its board secretary functions.

Prior to joining GridLiance, Simpson was an attorney at Jones Day in Dallas, Texas, and was previously an attorney at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York City where she focused on M&A and private equity transactions from an employee-related perspective. Simpson also worked on a variety of employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including drafting executive compensation arrangements (employment agreements, equity compensation plans and retirement plans) and Internal Revenue Code and other legal compliance.

Simpson received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law in Charlottesville, Virginia. Prior to attending law school, she earned a Bachelor of Arts from Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island. Simpson is a member of the States Bars of Texas and New York.
